About this Product
Overview
Finally, a book that covers all 5 of the sub-disciplines of water rescue – in a single resource! TECHNICAL RESCUER: WATER is based on the NFPA 1006 Technical Rescue Standards, and covers everything from surface water rescue and ice rescue to swiftwater rescue, surf rescue, and more. Perhaps most importantly, the author recognizes that different agencies have different processes, and incorporates that by discussing the various types of equipment and how it can be used. A bonus chapter on watercraft rounds out the book's comprehensive coverage, making this an ideal book for anyone teaching a course or providing training that encompasses first responder rescue.
